A surprise 50th birthday party was the motivation to make a “50 for 50″ album. Rather than a photo book, a physical scrapbook was assembled. Photos from the birthday boy’s parents were digitized for his boyhood photos and digital photos were printed out for the more current images. Cards were distributed to the family members to write down memories, and one two-page spread was created for every year, with plenty of blank cards included to continue to record memories.
